根據(jù)2020年教育部頒布的《大學(xué)英語教學(xué)指南》，大學(xué)英語的教學(xué)目標(biāo)是“培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的英語應(yīng)用能力，增強(qiáng)跨文化交際意識和交際能力，同時發(fā)展自主學(xué)習(xí)能力、提高綜合文化素養(yǎng)，培養(yǎng)人文精神和思辨能力”。英語演講能力正是“學(xué)生英語應(yīng)用能力，跨文化交際意識和交際能力”的綜合體現(xiàn)。《英文演講》已成為大學(xué)英語課程體系中非常重要的課程。為了適應(yīng)新時代的社會需求和教學(xué)要求，我們編寫了本教材。
本書共分六章，第一章為英文演講知識。第二至第六章為演講范例講解和評析。每一篇演講講解都包括：演講者簡介、演講背景、金句預(yù)覽、演講原文、金句背誦、演講點(diǎn)評、演講譯文、課后練習(xí)、雙語學(xué)習(xí)等模塊。
